UNIBO / Piazza Scaravilli
WhatWeAre interactive studio, together with Onde, created the permanent immersive mapping for the renovated Piazza Scaravilli, in the heart of the University of Bologna.
Inaugurated by Rector Francesco Ubertini, the mapping can be seen every evening.
The immersive mapping was designed and produced using photogrammetry and 3D simulation techniques, which make it possible to project an immersive three-dimensional space onto the elongated geometry of Piazza Scaravilli.
The project tells the story and the spaces of the University and of the people who make it up, with particular attention to researching and rendering graphic material from the archives of the University of Bologna and its University Museum System.
